It’s Presidents’ Day at the Blue Moon of Kentucky Club, and Abe and Josh are about to get married right on the dance floor. But between clashing mothers, political divides, and a sudden case of cold feet, happily ever after is anything but guaranteed. Guided by the fabulous drag queen hostess Black-Eyed Suzie, we travel between 2016 Kentucky and the 19th century, where another Abe and Josh - Abraham Lincoln and Joshua Speed -navigate an intimate relationship of their own. Funny, heartfelt, and unexpectedly moving, Elysian Fields is a new musical about love, commitment, and the LGBTQIA+ lives that came before us. Because sometimes the people who came before us are closer than we think. And sometimes, to find the courage to move forward, you have to dance with the past.
