Fear and Misery in the Third Reich, one of Bertolt Brecht's most important plays and first of his openly anti-Nazi works, is infrequently produced in the US. The play consists of 18 vignettes, each with different characters, portraying 1930s Germany as Hitler is coming to power and the country is devolving into poverty, violence, fear, and distrust, which is eerily mirrored in the current political climate in this country.
