On April 24th, the NYC Rocky Horror Picture Show and Fifi DuBois bring you a wildly immersive celebration of Reefer Madness The Movie Musical that combines ‘dinner and a movie’ and live performance into one gloriously unhinged experience.* This is not just a screening. This is a full-scale, camp-soaked spectacle. As the cult-favorite 2005 musical film Reefer Madness plays, our cast will burst off the screen and into the room, performing show-stopping numbers live onstage and weaving through the audience. Set in a hilariously over-the-top 1930s America, Reefer Madness follows the tragic downfall of clean-cut teens Jimmy Harper and Mary Lane as they fall prey to the so-called dangers of marijuana. What unfolds is a gleefully absurd spiral into jazz-fueled debauchery, wild hallucinations, moral panic, and jaw-dropping musical numbers that only get more outrageous as the story barrels toward its unhinged finale.
