A provincial German town, 1891. The adults have decided the teens are better off not knowing. About their bodies, about their wanting, about anything that happens after dark. So they’ll find out on their own. Spring Awakening is Steven Sater and Duncan Sheik’s landmark rock musical that tears into the exhilaration, confusion, and consequences of coming of age. This fall, Tony Award–winning director Danya Taymor and choreographer Celia Rowlson-Hall bring it to Studio Seaview in an intimate, raw new staging.
